overview
Y-Music is an evangelistic music ministry of YWAM Hopeland in Jinja, Uganda.  It was founded in 1994 with a sole purpose of reaching out to secondary schools, colleges and the community around us.  It’s derived from  "Why music?", a question that hovered in the minds of the founders who knew that since music is loved the world over; there must be a power in music that speaks deeply to the body, soul, mind, and spirit. Therefore through music we believe we can reach out to all groups of people in a more understandable yet applicable and entertaining way.  It offers a relaxed approach to evangelism and is appealing especially to youth.  It is also an avenue where young people can use their musical talents and other skills to serve the Lord.  We train and disciple worship leaders and Christian artists into a lifestyle of worship.  Y-Music has a heart to encourage the use of both new and traditional African music to bring out the beauty and variety in the expressions of the sounds of Africa.
