Getting here Entebbe (EBB) is the nearest airport to the base (130 km). The airport is 3 hours by road from the base. Entebbe has direct links with London-Heathrow, Brussels and Amsterdam. Entebbe has regular flights with Dubai and major airports in East, North & South Africa. When arriving at Entebbe, someone from the base will meet you at the airport. If your flight is arriving late at night, we will arrange for you to stay in a hotel in Entebbe or Kampala and come to Jinja in the morning. The visa for Uganda is US$50 (valid for 1 month) and is available at the airport. Ministry We are working with two churches close to the base. On the base assistance is always appreciated in the the pre-school, vocational training school, office and kitchen. Ministry with our sister base, TORCH can also be arranged.
Fun times We have sporting facilities for soccer/football, basketball and volleyball. Close to Jinja is Bujagali Falls on the Nile River. This is Uganda's adventure playground. For further information see Uganda's travel planner.
