description The Foundation of Counseling Ministries School (FCM) has an emphasis on ministering to rural communities, urban areas, and the local church, within the context of a developing nation. The course integrates teaching and counseling practice. In each problem area that is addressed the students learn to seek God's answer in His Word, so as to be able to effectively minister His love into any situation. As the course progresses, students are encouraged to face areas of hurt and pain within themselves. These may have their roots in broken relationships, a difficult upbringing, rejection, unmet needs or bereavement, especially if they have experienced the deaths of loved ones from AIDS or other diseases or wars. As students find God's love and healing power at work in their own lives, they then become a channel to minister to others. The aim is to develop balance and wholeness in every area of their lives. They learn how to live with and relate to others in their chosen community during the outreach phases. There are so many opportunities to use the skills and wisdom this course imparts. Some graduates go back and work in their churches, families and some with those affected by HIV and AIDS. Others minister to children in orphanages, children's homes and on the streets... wherever there are broken people in need of God's love and the healing message of the Gospel, graduates of this school are equipped to serve. Also further training for a diploma can be achieved in YWAM.
