description
Addictive Behaviour Counseling School equips workers to bring freedom and restoration to individuals and families who are in bondage because of addictive behaviours (compulsive lifestyles). It explores the causes of the severe psychological, spiritual and social problems that result from addictions. This school also enables men and women to model personal restoration of selfworth, as well as train helpers in areas of deep human need. Lectures, personal in-depth study, group work and experiential therapies are utilized.
Goals include: a. Preparing students to counsel dysfunctional families and individuals with a broad spectrum of addictive disorders b. Laying a spiritual and philosophical base for diagnosis, treatment and recovery from compulsive lifestyles c. Developing practical therapeutic skills and providing opportunity for leadership in recovery groups d. Preparing students to minister in developing nations
